Palliative care is any type of care that focuses on making a sick person feel comfortable, rather than curing the illness. Sometimes known as end of life care, hospice care is a type of palliative care for individuals who are in the last stages of a serious illness and have decided not to pursue curative treatments. In general, the purpose of hospice care is symptom relief, comfort, and emotional-spiritual support.
Our approach to hospice and palliative care at home, or at a facility is simple: help families spend quality time together by matching them with a perfect caregiver for their situation. A caregiver can help with day to day activities like bathing or dressing, or provide support and companionship for the sick individual.

Respite Care for the elderly, seniors, disabled adults, and those with special needs can offer caregivers a chance to take a break from their situation. It is meant to allow you to recharge emotionally and physically to avoid burnout. Respite care can include things like light housekeeping, personal care such as bathing or dressing, travel accompaniment to appointments**, grocery shopping, errands, and more.
Short-term respite care for caregivers may come in many forms. You may find that having overnight respite care one night a week reduces your stress, or that a sudden event means you need emergency respite care. The most important thing to remember is that respite for caregivers is not about abandoning or “passing off” your caregiving role. It is about finding the right balance for your family.
